Development wheels of any nation is engineered by duty-bearers or those with mandate to govern. The success of these government machinery largely depend on efficiency, selflessness, dexterity and effective coordination with the Metropolitan Municipal District Assemblies (MMDAs).

As it stands, the capacities of the MMDAS to self develop and implement external free growth policies at the local level are met with extreme bottlenecks. How then are the various Appointments be able to influence and drive local development even when duties are performed at the National or Macro level?.

ADRRI believes that Ministers Appointed must be multitasking and proactive to duties. There must be a well articulated procedure in mapping out results and performance of those ministers. In all, strict adherence to uplifting our decentralized governance approach couple with monitoring is the “cash cow” for swift development. Let us see development as a right and not a privilege and let us the community driven-led development approach.
